About Vino Con Brio

Vino Con Brio was a boutique winery owned and operated by the Matson Family in Lodi, California. Mike, Renae and Anne Matson were proud to bring you the fruits of their labor – eclectic, estate grown wines with vibrant and complex character. 

In 1999, the family bonded their winery called Vino Con Brio, meaning “Wine with Passion” in Italian. Matzin was their other label for their Old Vine Zinfandel Wines. Vino Con Brio specialized in Rhone, Italian and out of the ordinary varietals, such as Pinotage, that are so well-suited to Lodi's climate.

Twelve amazing years later in June of 2011, the family decided to retire and sold their beautiful Amorosa property to Mettler Family Vineyards.  Thank you for your business over the years ~ you will be missed!
